Paulmann support policy for product software

When your smik gateway is connected to the internet, the gateway and/or any connected smart Paulmann products will periodically receive updates that may include new features, general system updates, security updates or bug fixes. However, due to the technical limitations of the hardware and software dependencies, there is a practical boundary to what these devices can support and which software elements can work together.
To ensure our products continue to perform at their best, we adhere to the following policy regarding the provision of digital updates and patches. This end-of-support policy may be revised from time to time. If any changes are made, we will publish the updated policy on our website. In the event of any inconsistency between this product support policy and other applicable Paulmann policies, this policy shall prevail.
Paulmann smik gateway
Paulmann intends to provide software support for at least three years after your purchase from an authorised reseller. To enable this, you must always keep the gateway software up to date. The gateway support period will ensure the following:
- Works with the Paulmann smik app in its latest software release.
- Works with the offered cloud services.
- Gets required security, quality and system updates.
After that, software updates may still be provided by Paulmann at its own discretion.
The support period does not apply in cases in which the hardware and/or system are not capable.
Paulmann smik App
Improved versions of the Paulmann smik app are released regularly to ensure you get the best possible lighting experience. We ensure compatibility throughout the gateway support period and aim to support our Paulmann smik app on at least the last two major versions of the iOS and Android operating systems.
The support period does not apply in cases in which the hardware and/or system are not capable.
Paulmann Zigbee devices (other than the smik Gateway)
Paulmann intends to ensure compatibility with the Paulmann smik gateway and its functions for at least three years after purchase from an authorised dealer.
